Sishen Mine's "Life of Mine" project involved building facilities for repair and maintain of their "Huge Monsters" as the hauling trucks are called. As with many mining environments, the entrance solution has to withstand extremely high temperatures and high wind speeds that create a significant amount of airborne dust, and therefore also needs very good sealing qualities. Additional requirements on the doors were reliability and minimum maintenance need. The hangar doors should be safe, easy to operate and help keep a clean environment.
